Have you noticed that your pet snake is missing? A Corn Snake has been found in the Caernarfon Road area of Bangor on Christmas Day.
An appeal has now been made for the owner to come forward after the snake was featured on ‘PetsLocated.com’ which helps reunite missing pets with their owners.
Corn Snakes are native to North America, they can grow up to 1.8m in length and usually feed on mice or small rats. The snakes only usually bite when they feel threatened but are non-venomous, they are considered to be harmless to humans and are advocated as pets because of their calm nature.
The snakes can live up to 15 years and usually require a temperature of 20-28 degrees Centigrade.
The corn snake is described as being an average age and size. It isn’t yet known whether the snake is a male or female and is yet to be scanned for a microchip.
