The new S4C crime series ‘Craith’ which was filmed in Bangor and surrounding areas of Snowdonia, will be on television in January and will also be premiered at Pontio in Bangor.
In the eight-part series viewers will recognise locations in Bangor, Menai Bridge, Llanberis, Tremadog and other locations in North Wales.
From the same producers of the award-winning drama series Hinterland, Craith was filmed back-to-back in Welsh and English, a bilingual version – Hidden – will follow on BBC One Wales later next year.
The drama tells the story of detective DI Cadi John who returns to North Wales to care for her ailing father. However, when the body of a young woman is found in a local river, Cadi’s world – and the world around her – is changed forever.
The cast features Sian Reese Williams, Sion Alun Davies, Rhodri Meilir and Gillian Elisa, as well as a number of local people performing as ‘extras’ in the series.
Craith will premier at Pontio in Bangor on 4th January and will be shown on S4C from Sunday, January 7 at 9pm.
