The Gwanwyn Glan Bangor Spring Clean event was held on Saturday, with volunteers collecting rubbish and litter picking, filling a total of 24 bin bags.
The event was organised by Cllr Catrin Wager (Menai Ward), Green Bangor Werdd, and Bangor Ddi-Blastig / Plastic-free Bangor and Keep Wales Tidy, who provided the equipment and litter-pickers.
Organisers said before the event; “Now that Covid guidelines allow, let’s get together for a spring clean of our special city!”
Reacting to the success of the event, Cllr. Catrin Wager who represents Menai ward (Upper Bangor) on Gwynedd Council said: “I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who came to the litter pick on Saturday – it was a sold out event. Go team Bangor!
“We collected around 24 bags of rubbish in a short space of time which is amazing, and all thanks to the dream team!”
The event is part of a series of litter picks that will take place now that Covid restrictions allow.
