North Wales Police have made a further arrest in their battle against people bringing controlled drugs into the Gwynedd area from Liverpool.

Following a day of action in Bangor last week, which involved over 40 officers and five people being arrested, an intelligence led stop on Monday 26th February, resulted in arrest of a man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, cultivation of cannabis, money laundering and drug driving.

The suspect was arrested by the Western Priority Crime Team with assistance from the Roads Policing Unit as he travelled to Bangor from Liverpool.

No Hiding Place

Det Sgt Andy Davies said “Following Friday’s day of action under Operation Rattle this was a continuation of that process. We are determined to keep our communities safe. For those involved in drugs supply there is No Hiding Place.

“Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated and we will continue to take positive, robust action. However we can’t tackle this problem alone and I cannot emphasise enough the importance of the community sharing their concerns with us.”
