Bangor City Stadium is set to undergo a series of exciting transformations aimed at enhancing the experience for the teams, supporters, and the wider community.
Thanks to a private investment of £350,000, extensive upgrades will be made across several key areas of the stadium, supporting the long-term development goals of the stadium.
In addition to the recently announced upgrades to the floodlights and the PA system (with support from the FAW), the stadium will benefit from the following improvements:
New Safe Standing Terrace: A covered safe standing area will be installed behind the South Side goal, accommodating approximately 400 seats for potential UEFA fixtures. This area will primarily serve as a safe standing zone to enhance the matchday atmosphere.
New Changing Rooms and Refreshment Office: With the UK’s first 4G pitch nearing completion this summer, we will build new changing facilities for players and officials, alongside a dedicated refreshment stall.
Tea Hut Renovation: The pitch-side tea hut is undergoing a full refurbishment, with work being carried out both inside and out. This includes cosmetic upgrades and enhancements to the food menu, improving service and offerings for fans.
Farrar Suite Cellar Upgrade: The Farrar Suite has received an upgraded cooling system in its cellar, ensuring improved service and efficiency during events and matchdays.
Improved Pitch Drainage: Work is being carried out on the pitch’s drainage system to enhance performance during the winter months, ensuring better playing conditions year-round.
New Grounds Team Storage Facility: A dedicated storage area is being added to support our growing grounds team as they maintain the new pitch and stadium facilities.
New Pitch-Side Dugouts: New dugouts will be installed later this year to provide improved comfort and professionalism for teams and staff on matchdays.
Bangor City Stadium Director Dafydd Evans commented, “The board of directors met with the chairman last week to discuss the upgrades and the stadium development plan. We are pleased to announce that a substantial private investment has been made into the stadium, allowing us to proceed with these further works as part of our development plan. A new stand behind the south goal has been a request from the fans for some time, and we have listened. We will begin construction immediately, along with all the other upgrades mentioned.”
These developments mark a significant milestone in the ongoing transformation of Bangor City Stadium. We will ensure that updates on the works are regularly posted on the stadium’s social media channels.
