North Wales Fire and Rescue Service issued a warning for residents to ensure they have working smoke alarms after they attended a fire involving a tumble dryer in Bangor.
A statement from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “Last night, crews from Bangor fire station attended a property in the Bangor area to deal with a fire involving a tumble dryer, the property suffered extensive damage and the occupier was very fortunate to escape unharmed.
“We cannot emphasise how important it is to have working smoke alarms in your property, giving occupiers a vital early warning if and when a fire occurs within the property.
