A new community-driven language initiative is bringing the world closer to home. LinguaLinc, founded by a group of experienced language teachers, is connecting people through the joy of language learning.
Based at the vibrant @109 shop and community space on Bangor High Street, LinguaLinc’s mission is simple but powerful: to make language learning accessible, inclusive, and engaging for everyone. The team believes that learning a language is about more than grammar and vocabulary; it’s about creating connections and celebrating cultures.
“Our aim is to offer high-quality, face-to-face language sessions that anyone can join,” said the LinguaLinc team. “@109 provides the perfect setting, it’s not just a classroom, it’s a community hub where people meet, share ideas, and build friendships.”
Currently, LinguaLinc offers courses in German, Spanish, French, and Italian at intermediate and higher levels—opportunities not widely available elsewhere in the local area. Each course is designed to help learners gain real-world communication skills while enjoying an engaging, interactive experience.

Felicity Parker – German
With 14 years of experience, Felicity combines her love of teaching with a passion for cultural exchange, helping learners gain real-world communication skills through hands-on lessons.
Rubén Chapela – Spanish
A seasoned educator of Spanish and Catalan, Rubén teaches through English and Welsh, infusing his classes with energy and a deep appreciation for multilingualism.
Elsa Barratt – Italian
Elsa’s lessons are dynamic, student-focused, and full of creative flair. She aims to get learners speaking Italian confidently from day one.
Sarah Goddard – French
With 18 years’ experience teaching languages and business through both English and Welsh, Sarah ensures that every lesson is interactive, enjoyable, and practical.
