Police have stepped up patrols around Bangor University following an incident reported earlier today.
Officers were called to the Pontio area shortly before 2.30pm after receiving reports of a man behaving suspiciously. Enquiries are continuing to identify and locate the individual in order to establish exactly what happened.
North Wales Police have said there is not believed to be any risk to the wider community.
Chief Inspector John Aspinall said high-visibility patrols will remain in place to reassure staff, students and members of the public while investigations continue.
“High visibility patrols will be carried out in the area for reassurance purposes as investigations are ongoing to identify the individual,” he said. “Anyone with further information or concerns should contact officers via the North Wales Police website or by calling 101.”
Police have thanked the public for their cooperation as enquiries continue.
