Siân Gwenllian, Member of the Senedd (MS) for Arfon, has presented a cheque for more than £1,000 for Bangor Samaritans following a successful fundraising appeal launched in support of the vital work carried out by the local branch.
The funds were raised through an appeal organised by the Senedd Member to support the Samaritans’ volunteers, whose compassionate, round-the-clock listening and emotional support services provide a lifeline for people in crisis across North West Wales.
Siân Gwenllian said:
“It was a privilege to present this cheque to Bangor Samaritans and to thank all those who donated or took part in the fundraising efforts. Reaching over £1,000 is a wonderful achievement and a testament to the kindness and community spirit of people here in Arfon. Volunteers at Samaritans give their time and care freely to support others, often in their darkest moments, and they deserve our sincere gratitude.”
“The commitment shown by Samaritans’ volunteers is truly inspiring. Their work makes a profound difference to individuals and families who are struggling. I’m incredibly grateful for everything they do, and I hope these funds will provide further support to help them continue their essential work in our community.”
