Bangor will be right at the heart of a major international tournament this summer, with Bangor City Stadium hosting key fixtures as the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship comes to North Wales for the first time.
The competition runs from 28 June to 11 July and features eight of Europe’s top youth sides.
At Bangor City Stadium, all matches fall within Group B, which includes Italy, Serbia, Croatia and Ukraine, along with a crucial play-off later in the tournament.
Bangor fixtures:
- Mon 29 June (20:00) – Croatia vs Ukraine (Group B)
- Thu 2 July (18:00) – Serbia vs Ukraine (Group B)
- Sun 5 July (16:00) – Ukraine vs Italy (Group B)
- Wed 8 July (14:00) – 3rd Group A vs 3rd Group B (U-20 World Cup play-off)
The full tournament line-up is split into two groups:
Group A: Wales, Spain, Germany, Denmark
Group B: Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine
Wales will play all of their group matches at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground, which will also host one of the semi-finals and the final. Other venues include The Oval in Caernarfon (Group B fixtures) and Central Park, Denbigh (Group A fixtures and a semi-final).

The top two teams from each group progress to the semi-finals, while the play-off in Bangor offers a route to the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
