Last summer, over 9,000 people flocked to Bangor for a one-day spectacular that took over the city and left it buzzing for weeks. Families, friends, neighbours, performers — they came in their thousands and left with memories that have become the stuff of local legend.
This year, it’s back — and it’s on track to be the biggest event Bangor has seen in living memory.
On Saturday, 16th August 2025, Bangor Summer Fest returns… and this time, it’s taking things to a whole new level.
You’ll hear it before you see it — the music, the laughter, the cheers. You’ll feel the heartbeat of the city rise as the streets fill and excitement builds. You’ll follow the colours, the characters, the spectacle. And as you step into the heart of it all, you’ll feel that unmistakable festival magic — the kind that stops time and fills your lungs with joy.
As Bangor proudly marks its 1500th anniversary, this standalone festival is set to be the highlight in a year packed with events — the one day that will unite the city like nothing else.
And the best part?
It’s entirely FREE.
Every show, every performance, every interaction, every workshop — free for everyone.
The only things with a price tag? The funfair and a few premium inflatable attractions and of course our extensive traditional and artisan market, Everything else? Yours to enjoy.
