A handful of tickets have been released for Sir Bryn Terfel’s first performance at Pontio in Bangor on Friday evening. The original ticket allocation sold out within just one hour so you need to be quick!
Sir Bryn will perform for the first time at the theatre named in his honour at Pontio with Hannah Stone (Harp) and they will give the first performance of Osian Ellis’ Cycle of Welsh Folk Songs. Past students from Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias, finalists in the Urdd Bryn Terfel Scholarship, will be supporting artists: Glain Dafydd (Harp) Gwyn Owen (Trumpet, Gwen Elin, (Soprano) and Jâms Coleman (Piano).
Previous performances at the theatre were cancelled due to the building not being completed in time and a second attempted performance was cancelled after voice problems forced Sir Bryn to cancel the performance.
