Cyngor Gwynedd and North Wales Police have issued warnings ahead of Caernarfon Town’s first-ever European game against Crusaders of Northern Ireland.

The first leg of the UEFA Conference League match will take place on Thursday 11 July at Bangor City Stadium, which is expected to attract a crowd of over 1,000 people.

Cyngor Gwynedd warned: “There are roadworks on the A5 near the Menai suspension bridge and delays are expected in the Bangor and Treborth area, on the evening of 11 July in particular.

“If you’re going to the Caernarfon Town FC vs Crusaders match at Nantporth (KO 6.30pm) or need to travel through the area, please allow plenty of time and plan ahead.”

A statement form North Wales Police said: “Officers look forward to welcoming supporters to Nantporth Stadium, Bangor, on Thursday 11 July.

“We’re asking fans to please remain respectful, responsible, and mindful of local residents to ensure everyone can enjoy the match safely.”

The second leg of the fixture will take place on Wednesday 17 July in Belfast.
