The local community group Ska ‘n’ Soul Bangor has been busy with fundraising activities over the past three months, and they’ve managed to raise an impressive £315 for the Abbey Road Centre in Bangor.
The total includes proceeds from various initiatives such as the Mostyn night featuring ‘Ska and Jar’, the sales of stickers, badges, and mugs with a portion of the sales contributing to the Abbey Road donation, and DJ’ing at the friendly match between Bangor 1876 and FC United of Manchester.
During the Mostyn ‘Ska and Jar’ night, Dylan Jones generously performed and donated the entire collection to the Abbey Road mental health awareness charity.
In total, these efforts have collectively generated £315 for the Abbey Road Centre, which supports better mental health for adults, offers a variety of services including counselling, complimentary therapies, support for dependency and a variety of therapeutic approaches to wellbeing.
‘Ska and Jar’ will be making a return in August, and they also regularly host coffee morning get-togethers, usually on a monthly basis.
