Three generations from the same family, who all graduated from Bangor University, made a nostalgic trip back to Bangor last weekend as part of an 80th birthday celebration.

The Erasmus family travelled from Flintshire to Anglesey for the celebrations and on the way they stopped at Bangor where all three generations had attended the University.

Grandad, Peter Erasmus, 80, graduated in 1960 with a Physics degree. He then spent his career as a physics teacher at Holywell High School.

Father, Tim Erasmus, graduated in 1985, and carried on to complete a PhD in History in 1989. Tim is a History teacher at Alun School, Mold.

Tom Erasmus completed his History degree in 2012, followed by an MA in Business and Marketing in 2013. He currently works in Business Intelligence at Informa, London.
