North Wales Police said they had a ‘significant day’ in the fight against County Lines and anti-social behaviour in Bangor.

Local police officers, firearms, the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit, and the Priority Crime Team mounted several operations across the city on Friday 27 September.

A 19 year old man from Merseyside and a 26 year old woman from Bangor have been arrested for possession with intent to supply and Money laundering. A 20 year old man from Bangor was arrested for theft. A 23 year old man from Bangor was arrested for affray, and a 57 year old male from Bangor was arrested for possession, and a recall to prison.

Local officers served a 48 hour closure notice at an address on Caernarfon Road, and successfully obtained a three month closure order for an address on Dean Street which was closed earlier this week.

District Inspector Jon Aspinall said: “This has been an exceptionally successful week in Bangor, and we are grateful for the assistance of the local housing associations.

“Criminal behaviour on this level will simply not be tolerated, and I would urge members of the public to contact us with any information which will help us in our mission to keep the community safe for everyone.”
