Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd, a registered charity, Is proud to present an uplifting special programme on Friday 22nd August 2025, from 8–9pm, with presenter Yvonne Gallienne.
This hour-long programme on ‘Yvonne’s Musical Medicine’ will delve into the impactful work of MenTribe, amplifying their mission of mental health support and community empowerment. MenTribe provides outdoor-based support including monthly mountain walks, bushcraft activities, and fire circles. Their goal is to help men, particularly veterans, to build resilience, rediscover purpose, and reconnect with themselves and others in an open, supportive environment.
Joining Yvonne from Mentribe are: Simon Squibb, a celebrated entrepreneur, investor, and social media influencer renowned for inspiring millions globally to pursue purpose and entrepreneurial journeys.
Callum Tipton, Network Engineer at Ysbyty Gwynedd, ex-serviceman from 29 Commando Royal Artillery, Armed Forces Champion, and co‑founder of MenTribe CIC, and leader of MenTribe.
Nick Pritchard, the visionary Chairman behind Bangor City Stadium, who is leading a transformational journey to redevelop the stadium into a dynamic community hub. Nick is also an Investor, Developer and Bangor City Chairman Chamber of Trade.
Nick Pritchard said “A huge thank you to Yvonne and the team at Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd for shining a light on such an important cause. Simon and I are really looking forward to returning to the station soon to share updates on how the project has progressed. We’ll also be discussing our wider mission – from breathing new life into Bangor High Street to transforming education in North Wales by bringing vital support back into our schools.”

Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd was named the UK’s ‘Hospital Radio Station of the Year 2022’ by the Hospital Broadcasting Association and also won the ‘Bronze’ award for ‘Digital Station of The Year’ in the 2022 Community Radio Awards.
The station is going from strength to strength – working on special programmes to highlight the valuable work of local and national charities and services, and numerous outside broadcasts supporting fantastic events including Bangor Summer Festival 2025, Bangor Garth Pier Music Festival 2024, North Wales Pride 2024, Relay For Life 2024 and the NHS’ 75th Birthday.
