Prayers for Peace will be held in Bangor next week as part of Inter Faith Week.
There will be an opportunity for quiet prayer and meditation, interspersed with reflections and representations from different faiths will be held next week as part of Inter Faith Week.
The theme will be peace and unity and representatives Bangor cathedral, Bangor Islamic centre, Bangor Baha’i Community, Bangor Quakers, Hindu & Jewish representatives will be in attendance.
The session will be held on Monday, 13th November, 2017, 2pm-5pm, at Rathbone Annex, Bangor, LL57 2TF
Programme:
2pm – “Noon Prayers” with Imam Khan followed by Christian Prayers.
3.15pm – Hindu Prayers with Dr Sinadi Roy and Meeting for Worship with Gwyneth Clapham
4.15pm – Cytun Service with Ian Russell followed by Bahai Devotional
Inter Faith Week 2017, takes place from Sunday 12th November to Sunday 19th November, and is aimed at building good relationships and working partnerships between people of different faiths and beliefs is part of the year-round work of many people and organisations across the UK.
Having a special Week provides a focal point, helping to open inter faith activity up to a wider audience so that more and more people are made aware of the importance of this vital work and are able to participate in it.
