Police have issued another warning about hazardous driving conditions in North Wales following a single vehicle road traffic collision near Bangor this morning.
The accident occurred on the A55 westbound J12-11 Bangor when the driver lost control in wet weather and collided with central barrier. Lane 2 of the carriageway was closed as of 7am this morning, although there are no reports of any injuries.
Police warned: “The weather and road conditions are atrocious. Please slow down wherever you may be going. Assess the need for your journey, drive to the conditions and your driving ability. Please do not ignore any road closure signs. Think Safety.”
Outbreaks of rain are set to continue throughout the day on Thursday. The rain will be widespread and locally heavy this morning. Rain should start to ease and become more intermittent this afternoon.
Friday morning will be largely cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Friday afternoon will see rain becoming more showery and some brighter spells developing. It will be a warmer day than today.
