Homes were evacuated and part of Bangor High Street was closed this morning following a house fire.


The fire is believed to have started at around 5.30am this morning when North Wales Fire Service were called and nearby homes were evacuated.

Two fire engines and police were at the scene on High Street and the road was closed.

North Wales Fire Service have confirmed an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. A spokesperson said: “Fire crews from Bangor and Menai Bridge were called to a house fire on Tan Y Fron Terrace, High Street, Bangor at 05.39hrs this morning.”

The Welsh Ambulance Service attended the incident but nobody was found at the property. A spokesperson said: “We were called on Thursday 13 June at approximately 5:46am to reports of a house on fire in Bangor.

“We responded with one ambulance and were supported by the Police and Fire & Rescue services. No patient was found at the scene.”
