There will be an increased police presence on Bangor High Street for the next few days, after officers discovered an industrial scale cannabis factory hidden in an unused building.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of producing Class B drugs and are currently in custody whilst investigations continue.

Works are ongoing to secure the building and for Scottish Power to isolate the site.

In January, two men have were charged after a cannabis factory was discovered following a drugs warrant on a disused Bangor High Street property and a another large cannabis farm was discovered within a dwelling on Caernarfon Road last month.

In a statement, North Wales Police said: “We will continue to respond to information on suspected cannabis farms whenever we receive it. If you have concerns about drugs in your area, report via our website, call 101 or anonymously via CrimeStoppers.”
