Penrhyn Castle in Bangor has re-opened its doors to visitors from today, Monday 7 September.
From today, the ground floor of Penrhyn Castle will open its doors for visitors to discover the ‘What a World!’ exhibition.
The creative exhibition explores Penrhyn’s collection and the culture of colonialism through poetry, light, colour and sound. The castle, garden and grounds are open daily from 10am to 4pm.
To open safely, visitor numbers are limited and you’ll need to book your visit in advance. If you don’t book, you’ll be turned away, even if you’re a National Trust member.
Visitors must arrive within their 30-minute timeslot. You’re then welcome to stay until closing time.
The upper floors of the castle, retail, Railway Museum and Victorian kitchens remain closed at this time. Dogs on short leads are permitted within the grounds, but no dogs inside the castle except guide dogs.
