Ysgol Tryfan in Bangor have been busy sharing information to prospective parents and pupils in different ways this year. A Welsh language and an English language professionally made film will be released today on the school’s Facebook page.
Current and former pupils, parents and former parents contribute in the film. Also taking part is broadcaster and former Bangor City FC footballer Owain Tudur Jones, local businessman Dafydd Hardy and Professor Enlli Thomas from Bangor University’s Education Department.
The schools’ Head teacher Arwyn Williams said: “Our opening evening last year proved very popular and the feedback from our prospective parents was very encouraging. Of course it would not be possible to have an open evening this year so we have put together a programme of activities to share information with pupils and parents.
“As part of this programme, our film hopefully will provide pupils and their parents with a valuable insight to life at Ysgol Tryfan and it will show what we are all about as a school and that we offer all pupils a quality bilingual education as well an excellent level of care and support”.
For prospective parents Ysgol Tryfan have an online meeting on Wednesday night (November 18th) and details of which can be seen on their facebook page or you can register by contacting the school on 01248 352633 (swyddfa@tryfan.gwynedd.sch.uk). For prospective pupils, primary school pupils from the Bangor catchment area will have an online meeting with the Head teacher during next week.
