Bangor will feature in a short film this week as part of the ‘It’s My Shout‘ – Short films for Wales series.
‘It’s My Shout’ is a training scheme, based in Wales, providing training for all ages interested in gaining experience in Film. Each year they produce short films for BBC Wales, S4C, Welsh Government and Arts Council of Wales.
The project offers a wide range of opportunities for up and coming film makers in the creative industry, sharing experiences, skills and confidence with everyone. It’s My Shout are extremely passionate about nurturing, developing and discovering new talent.
Filmed in and around Bangor in June 2019, this 9 minute short film follows a group of ‘free-sitters’ on a journey to achieve their ultimate goal. Share their triumphs and tribulations, and witness the camaraderie and rivalry as their preparation builds to the big day.
In a modern age that is dominated by social media and ruled by its constant trends the new sport of ‘free-sitting’ has swept the nation.
The film was produced in association with Coleg Menai who are long term partners with the ‘It’s My Shout’ training scheme.
Sit Bangor will be broadcast on BBC Two Wales on Wednesday 18 September 2019 11.15pm and then available on iPlayer.
