An exciting opportunity has become available to take over the catering and bar management franchise at the Bangor Cricket Club pavilion.
The new pavilion at the Cricket Club was completed in 2020 and incorporates a bar and restaurant area for 80 covers.
After three very successful years running ‘The Innings’, the current tenants are planning to leave when their lease ends in March 2023.
This means an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual, couple or partnership to take over the running of the restaurant and bar from April 2023.
With flexibility in the opening hours and type of cuisine offering there will be plenty of scope for the new tenants to continue to build on the venue’s success.
This business opportunity requires a minimal amount of capital outlay and could bring great rewards to individuals willing to work hard with an element of added creativity to harness the commercial potential that exists.
Ideally, the successful candidate would be able to demonstrate the following:
- A proven track record in catering management, preferably at a Members’ Club or successful restaurant.
- The ability to create and deliver a consistently high standard of catering.
- The ability to prepare high quality food ranging from bar menus with specials, Sunday lunches, team matches, Club social functions as well as member and non-member private functions/celebrations.
- Cellar management is desirable.
- Communication skills, high focus on customer service and Club members requirements and the ability to respond positively to challenges.
- Flexibility in the hours of service.
- Health and Safety and food hygiene experience along with up to date certification.
