The Play Centre in Bangor has confirmed that it will close in January. The news follows an announcement in October that due to ‘personal circumstances’ and ‘family commitments’ the centre was finding it difficult to continue trading.
The current owners were hoping to find a new owner to keep the popular children’s play centre and party venue open, advertising the venue, which was valued last year at £179,000, for a quick sale for offers in the region of £130,000.
The business opportunity was described as a ‘fantastic opportunity’ for a local owner/operator who could bring lots of enthusiasm and fresh ideas.
Despite attempts to find a new owner, the closure has now been confirmed.
The Play Centre announced: “We can confirm that The Play Centre will be closing after Christmas and will not be re-opening as a play centre. Saturday 6th Jan 2018 will be our last day of trade. We are open as usual until then – we hope you can come and visit us one last time!”
