Firefighters from Bangor Fire Station have raised an incredible £464 for the Children’s Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
The money was raised at their annual Christmas charity event, which gives people the opportunity to meet the fire crew, sing some carols and enjoy mince pies and hot drinks in the run up to Christmas.
Every year the team support The Fire Fighters Charity and another charity of their choice – this year they wanted to raise money for the Children’s Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
A spokesperson for Awyr Las: The North Wales NHS Charity, said: “A huge thank you goes to Gorsaf Dan Bangor / Bangor Fire Station for choosing Awyr Las as one of the charities to support at their annual Charity Christmas Event.”
Carina Roberts, Play Specialist on the Children’s Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd, said: “Thank you so much to Bangor Fire Station for such a generous donation to help us buy Christmas gifts for the children that will be on the ward over Christmas.”
