A ‘Spring Clean’ litter pick has been planned for Bangor as more and more people are becoming angry about the amount of litter in the city.

The event is being organised by Plaid Cymru’s Catrin Wager, councillor for Menai ward in Bangor.

Ms Wager said: “Had enough of seeing litter on the streets of the city? Join us for a morning of litter picking to make a difference. The more of us that come together, the bigger the difference we can make, so please, come along, invite your friends and share this event.”

Litter Picking sessions will start from different locations across the city at 10am, and should be finished by 12.30pm, equipment will be provided.

City Centre: Sackville Road Car Park

Upper Bangor: The Crescent Car Park
Garth: BBC
Hirael: Beach Rd Car Park (Nelson ) City Centre: Sackville Road Car Park
Coed Mawr: Coed Mawr Community Centre
Glyder: Parc Maes Tryfan Park

Ms Wager added: “We’ve had constructive meeting between council officers, councillors and other agencies, there‘s lots in the pipeline.”
