Ysgol Friars in Bangor have reported that all staff and children tested for Coronavirus, after a school ski trip to northern Italy, are clear of the virus.
A number of children from the school had ‘self-isolated’ and contacted NHS direct for advice after an outbreak of the Coronavirus, Covid-19, in Italy.
Pupils from the school stayed in the town of Bormio in the Italian Alps for a week during half-term.
In a letter to parents today, Deputy Headteacher Mr David Healey said: “We are delighted to say that everyone tested for the COVID 19 virus has been given the all clear.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and follow all Government advice about keeping pupils and staff safe.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support and patience with us during this challenging time.”
