This Advent and Christmas season, Bangor Cathedral’s art installation, in association with Dylan’s Restaurant, will feature a heavenly host of angels, with a difference.

With the aim of promoting ecological awareness, the angels will be made from plastic milk cartons, contributed by local people, schools and members of the cathedral community.

Every day during Advent, a new angel will appear both in the cathedral and somewhere on Bangor High Street.

Each angel will carry a message encouraging people to do something charitable or environmental this festive season: perhaps to invite a lonely neighbour for tea, to donate extra groceries to the Food Bank, or to buy goods with recyclable packaging.

A special Angel making event will be held at the cathedral on Saturday 2nd November, which is free and open to all.

The angel installation will be available to view from December through to February.
