A planning application has been submitted for the conversion of a historic, Grade II listed, building in Bangor into residential units.
The proposal is for the re-development of the Canonry building, located at Ffordd Gwynedd, in the centre of Bangor.
The site had once been the Canonry Museum and Art Gallery, before its relocation to Storiel, in 2017 the site reopened as a private school. However, the independent school closed in 2023 and the building was placed on the market for sale.
The new development, if approved, would consist of nine, one and two bedroom apartments, with three apartments situated on the ground floor.
The building has been re-developed several times over the years with most recently planning approval having been obtained for the conversion of the building into a restaurant, wine bar and 2 residential units.
