Ysgol Tryfan in Bangor have informed parents the school will no longer be open to pupils in years 7, 8 & 9 from tomorrow (Wednesday 18 March) after receiving new guidelines from the Government regarding the UK Coronavirus outbreak.

The letter said the new guidelines would have an impact on staffing levels and the school would prioritise staffing resources to remain open for pupils in years 10-13. The changes will remain in place until further notice.

The letter form the Headteacher, Arwyn Williams, said: “We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this will cause, but current circumstances dictate we have no option.

“Year 7-9 teachers will be in touch to provide work for pupils for the (online teaching resource) Show My Homework and/or Google Classrooms.

“As you will have seen today the situation can change very quickly and I will continue to share any new information with you.”
