Clothing store USC has announced it will close its outlet on Bangor High Street.

Notices in the window of the store confirm the closure, which is likely to be next month, with all stock now reduced.

USC is a clothing retailer that sells branded clothing across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The company was founded in 1989 in Edinburgh and has been owned by the Frasers Group since 2011.

Brands available at USC include Diesel, G-Star, Firetrap, Miss Sixty, Replay, Henri Lloyd, Gio-Goi and Lacoste.

The closure of USC is yet another blow to Bangor High Street and follows a long list of closures since the Covid pandemic, including Debenhams, Body Shop, H&M, Top Shop, ShoeZone, Peacocks, Select, TUI Travel agents and the adjacent WH Smith’s stationary store, which will close permanently within the next few weeks.

The store currently employs up to seven members of staff, who were informed of the closure earlier this week.
