A temporary gym will open at Bangor University on Monday, 21 September, as the sports facility at Canolfan Brailsford is still providing a service to the NHS as a Rainbow Hospital, although the facility hasn’t been used for patients as yet.
The temporary structure, planned for a period of 12 months, will contain a fitness and weights room on land adjacent to Neuadd Reichel, on Ffriddoedd Road, Bangor. The structure also includes a reception area, changing rooms and toilet facilities.
Gym goers will be able to pre-book 80mins time slots to use the facility. Before attending the gym, participants must watch a ‘Covid induction video’ and book a session online. The gym will be open Monday – Friday 7am-10pm and Saturday – Sunday 8.30am-7pm.
