The Met Office has issued a warning for “gales and heavy rain showers” on Monday. Strong winds and rain will also develop on Tuesday which may bring some disruption to travel.
Gusts of 60-70mph (97-113 km/hr) are expected around the Welsh coast and on high ground, with inland gusts of about 45-55mph (72-89 km/hr).
The Met Office warning is in place from 10am on Monday 13 January to 11:59pm on Monday.
A widely very windy period expected Monday with some disruption to travel likely.
– Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport expected, particularly for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges
– Some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
– Coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities affected by spray and/or large waves
– Some short term loss of power and other services
