Following Gwynedd Council’s recent upgrade of the lighting and clearing the overgrowth of weeds under the railway bridge on Caernarfon Road, Arriva and Network Rail have been busy tidying up the retaining station wall this week.
The work has been coordinated by Medwyn Hughes, Councillor for Hendre Ward, he said: “I’m pleased to see that following talks with Arriva and Network Rail that the retaining station wall is being cleared.”
The work follows recent clearing projects in areas of Tai Station and the grounds of the old St David’s Church in Glanadda.
Medwyn added: “As part of the Hendre clean up at my request, the council are clearing areas of Tai Station. This follows an overgrowth cut by Gwynedd Council in Trem y Nant. More work will be done soon.
“The road surfaces of Ffordd Cynfal and Ainon are next on the infrastructure projects list along with parking in the West end area.”
Recent work has taken place to tidy the grounds of St David’s Church in Glanadda and parts of Tai Station.
