Repair work will be carried out on two bridges on the Lôn Las Ogwen cycle path, which will result in part of the cycle path being closed for up to three months.
Work will start on 3 November 2023 to replace two bridges on the Lôn Las Ogwen route, with work being completed around mid-February 2024. The path will be closed from the archway entrance at Porth Penrhyn to the underpass at Llandegai road.
The work will include removing both bridges but leaving the steel girders, cleaning and re-painting the girders after which the new bridges will be constructed on top of them.
A diversion route will be in place from 3 November 2023 until mid-February 2024.
The diversion will be from the A5 Lon Llandegai underpass, exiting by the entrance to Maesgeirchen and taking you on to the footpath/pavement going down from Maesgerichen towards Bangor.
Signs noting the diversion route will be placed by the contractors when the work commences.
