Details have been confirmed for Bangor’s Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade on 10 November 2019.
The Parade, including Bangor University Brass Band, will assemble by Bangor Clock on the High Street at 9.20am before marching up the High Street to Bangor Cathedral in time for the start of the Service at 9.45am
Following the service at 10.45am the parade, civic parade and congregation will march to Bangor Cenotaph, where a two minute silence will be observed at 11am, followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony and a short service.
Following the wreath laying ceremony the parade will assemble on Deiniol Road, by the crossing, where they will march the short distance to Ffordd Gwynedd and fall out on Ffordd Gwynedd by entrance to Police Station.
All are welcome to attend to watch the parade, the service at the Cathedral and the service by the war memorial.
09.20am Band (Bangor University Brass Band) and Parade forms up by Town Clock
09.25am on word of Parade Marshall the Band leads Parade from Town Clock up the High Street to Cathedral. Civic procession follows. Cllrs at the rear
09.40am Parade arrives outside Cathedral main entrance (by Castle pub). They line up on road prior to going into Cathedral
09.45am Parade goes into Cathedral for Service
10.45am Parade, Civic procession and congregation march down to War Memorial for Wreath laying Service
11.00am Two minutes silence
11.05am Wreath Laying on War Memorial and on North Wales Heroes Memorial Arch and Last Post
11.30am Band and Parade forms up on Deiniol Road (by crossing); Mayor of Bangor, Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff on Dias; Town Clerk, Councillors, Freemen of the City and Guests line up; band and parade march past saluting, turn right onto Ffordd Gwynedd and fall out on Ffordd Gwynedd by entrance to Storiel/Police Station.
