Inspector Jon Aspinall said: ‘Today has seen a fantastic team effort from colleagues across UK policing. County Lines is a complex and multi-faceted issue that crosses borders and countries, but we will continue to work together to disrupt this illegal and damaging activity that threatens the safety of our communities.

‘However, there are also victims as a result of drug abuse, and we are also conscious of the need to offer support and help to those in need. We will continue to work with partner agencies to ensure that those who want to turn their lives around are offered every opportunity to do so.

‘But let me be clear: today is not a ‘one off’, and we will continue to protect our communities every single day from the damaging effects of illegal drug supply, as well as the additional crime that is associated with it.’
