Residents in Bangor are being urged to take extra precautions following a recent increase in reported burglaries in the area.
North Wales Police say many of the incidents are opportunistic, with offenders targeting homes where doors or windows have been left unlocked or valuables are easily accessible.
Officers are reminding residents that simple steps can make a significant difference in reducing the risk of becoming a victim.
Advice includes ensuring all doors and windows are locked, keeping car keys out of sight, and using outdoor lighting or motion sensors to eliminate dark areas around properties.
Residents are also encouraged to build strong relationships with neighbours, who can help keep an eye on homes when occupants are away, and to make properties appear occupied where possible.
For higher value items, police suggest considering the use of tracking devices.
North Wales Police are urging anyone who notices suspicious behaviour in their neighbourhood to report it.
