A Bangor property that has been associated with drug use and antisocial behaviour has been closed by police for 48 hours, at which time the landlords will take control of the premises.

The closure notice was issued on Thursday 6th September at Llys Dylan in Maesgeirchen, as a result of evidence that the property was associated with drug related anti-social behaviour.

The property has been sealed and will be closed until 6.30pm on Saturday 8th September. It is now an offence for anyone to enter the property.

Insp Doug Hughes of the policing team in Bangor said: “This sends out a strong message to those individuals who wish to engage in acts of criminality within the community, disrupting the peaceful lives of innocent law-abiding citizens.

“Such behaviour can have a detrimental effect on individuals and the wider community and will not be tolerated.”

“We would like to thank Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd, local residents and the local community for their support in this matter and we will continue to take action against those who engage in such activity.”
