North Wales Police have arrested two local men in connection to a fail to stop collision in Bangor on Monday night, which left a 21-year-old woman in hospital with serious injuries.

The incident occurred on Glynne Road at 19:44 on Monday 19 December when police attended to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian, however the vehicle had left the location.

Following an appeal, police officers located a black Audi A4 in the Bangor area on Thursday which had ‘collision damage’ to it and two men were subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.

Despite the arrests, police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone who can assist with the investigation is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or via the live web chat quoting reference number W175751.

Officers have thanked the local community for their assistance with the investigation.
