North Wales Police have appealed for witnesses to a ‘serious injury collision’ on the West-bound carriageway between junction 8 and junction 7 which are situated on the Anglesey side of Britannia Bridge.
The A55 was closed in both directions just after the Britannia Bridge following a crash which involved a motorcyclist.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: “We were called to reports of a motorcycle road traffic collision.
“We responded with an emergency ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and a Wales Air Ambulance was also in attendance.
“We have conveyed a male in his 30’s to Stoke hospital with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital by an air ambulance.”
Police are also investigating the manner of riding of 2 motorcycles prior to the collision and have requested anyone who was travelling along this route between 14:25 hours and 14:35 hours today, Monday 26th of August, and have any information including any Dash-Cam footage, to contact the investigating officer.
