The Table Table restaurant at Parc Britannia in Bangor has closed to the public as part of a nationwide restructuring by Premier Inn owner Whitbread.
The restaurant, located next to the Premier Inn at Parc Menai, served its final members of the general public on Thursday, 3 September.
All 32 Table Table restaurants across the UK have now closed, bringing an end to the family dining brand after 18 years. Whitbread is also closing its other branded restaurant chains as the company shifts its focus towards its hotel business.
The Premier Inn at Parc Britannia remains open and hotel guests will continue to be offered breakfast, evening meals and drinks at the site.
Announcing the changes, Table Table thanked customers for dining at its restaurants over the years.
Whitbread said more than half of its Premier Inn hotels already have restaurants operating from within the hotel and that the changes are intended to provide guests with a more consistent experience.
Premier Inn guests will continue to have access to meal deals, while up to two children under 16 can stay and eat breakfast free with each paying adult.
Dining will now be aimed exclusively at hotel guests, meaning people who are not staying at the Premier Inn will no longer be able to visit Parc Britannia simply for a meal or drink.
The closure forms part of a wider overhaul of Whitbread’s restaurant estate. The company announced plans earlier this year to close its remaining branded restaurants and concentrate on Premier Inn, potentially affecting up to 3,800 jobs nationally.
Some restaurant buildings are expected to be converted into additional hotel rooms, while others will be sold. Whitbread has not confirmed whether any further changes are planned for the Parc Britannia site.
The Bangor Premier Inn continues to accept bookings as normal.
