Bangor born Nathan Broadhead has been called up to Wales’ under-21 squad for their upcoming UEFA European Under-21s Championship qualifiers against Belgium and Germany.
The 21 year-old, who has recently signed a new professional contract at Everton, is on a season long loan at League One side Burton Albion.
Broadhead has featured in all four of Burton’s League games so far this season, scoring a memorable double on his first start in the 2-1 win at Gillingham.
He has 10 caps for his country’s under-21s, having scored five goals in seven appearances for the under-19s. The Everton youngster was also included in a senior Wales training camp under Ryan Giggs earlier this year.
Wales will play Belgium at the Racecourse, Wrexham on Friday September 6, before they host Germany at the same ground on Tuesday September 10.
