Alice Morris, the mother of missing Frankie Morris, has appealed to the public to help find her son as her heart is breaking.

Frankie, 18, vanished on 2 May and has not been seen since, despite widespread searches and several appeals in a bid to find him. He was last seen on CCTV images pushing his bike near the Vaynol Arms in Pentir, near Bangor, at 1.12pm. His bike was later found in undergrowth nearby.

Alice flew back from Czech Republic last night to make the appeal. Frankie, who was born in Bangor, has been living in North Wales for the last four years. He is her only child.

In an interview with S4C Alice said: “I sent him a message on the Friday (before his disappearance) and he just answered me with one word – good.

“I know that at the weekends he might go to various parties and would not reply as quickly as usual, but I contacted him on Saturday or Sunday and he did not reply to my message.

“So Monday I started thinking it was a bit strange and then I spoke to his father on Tuesday – that’s when he told me that they had actually reported him missing on Tuesday.

“After that I really started worrying because this is totally out of character

“Even though he is very independent and he would often leave and spend time with his friends overnight he would never just leave and not say anything – it’s just not him, not at all.

“It’s terrible, heart-breaking, because he is such a lovely son, you can’t explain something like this to people, it’s terrible.

“I’m very worried that’s he’s not alive anymore, and if that is the case I would really like his body to be found as soon as possible.

“Maybe some people know something and are afraid, but they can phone 101 and give information anonymously.”

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Boycott from North Wales Police said: “It is now four weeks since Frankie was last seen and we are continuing to appeal to anybody who may have information to come forward.
“Frankie’s family are understandably deeply distressed, and I continue to appeal to anyone who has any information whatsoever to speak to us. However small you might think the information is it might be the piece we’re looking for, please make that call for Frankie and his family.”
The investigation to find Frankie is ongoing and officers are grateful for the information received so far.
