Two men from Merseyside who were stopped by Police in Bangor, were found to have £6,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine in their car.

Graeme Williams and Paul Pender were stopped by police on Treborth Road last January and were today jailed for two years and eight months each at Caernarfon Crown Court.

Judge Huw Rhys told the pair “they had been very foolish to get involved in crimes as serious as this” and said: “The sentence is the very least I can impose.”

After sentencing Gwion Jones from North Wales Police said: “This is a great example of proactive work being carried out in Bangor and the western area to tackle the ongoing drug problem.

“We want to reassure people that we are taking positive action to target those who cause the most harm in our aim community.”

“I appeal to anyone with information linked to drugs supply of any kind to make contact with us. We will always treat any information in the utmost confidence.”
