A high speed car chase between armed police officers and a high-performance Audi R8 sports car, ended when the sports car ran out of fuel on the A55.
Officers from the Cheshire & North Wales alliance armed unit and the North Wales roads policing unit began the pursuit, which took place between Llandudno Junction and Bangor on Friday night, after the Audi R8 failed to stop.
The sports car costs around £128,000 new and is equipped with a 5.2 litre V10 engine, with a maximum speed 206 MPH, reaching 0-62 MPH in just 3.1 seconds.
Police Tweeted: “If you’re going to make off from the Police make sure you have enough fuel in your tank to do it!
“Good teamwork again from Armed Response Vehicles & the Road’s Policing Unit to lock up the driver of this R8 for dangerous driving, fail to stop, disqualified driving.”
Police confirmed they arrested one person on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and driving while disqualified.
