Gwynedd Council has congratulated the county’s pupils on the success of their GCSE results this year.

 

Councillor Cemlyn Rees Williams, Gwynedd Council Cabinet Member for Education, said: “We are extremely proud of this year’s results and the pupils are to be congratulated for their hard work in such a difficult time. We want to see all our young people succeed in the future.

“I wish to thank the teachers too for their outstanding dedication during this unprecedented period.”

Congratulating the pupils on their success, Garem Jackson, Gwynedd’s Head of Education, said: “These GCSE results really are a testament to the dedication of our young people. In very unusual and difficult times, our young people have achieved great success. Congratulations to them on their hard work and success and best wishes to them as they move into the next phase of their education or training, or into the world of work.

“I would also like to sincerely thank all the staff at the schools for their perseverance in ensuring a first class education for the young people of Gwynedd despite all the difficulties this year. I appreciate the contribution of each member of the Gwynedd schools’ community.”
