Nature enthusiasts and history lovers have a fantastic opportunity to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Cwm Idwal while engaging in guided mindfulness and storytelling walks. Running from March until October, these special walks, led by experienced guides, aim to help participants connect with nature, find inner peace, and immerse themselves in the rich history of the region.
Mindfulness Walks for Health and Wellbeing
Qualified mindfulness guide Davy Greenough will lead a series of mindfulness walks, designed to enhance mental well-being by fostering a deep connection with nature. These walks are for adults only and will take place on the following dates:
30 March – Mindfulness Walk (Adults only)
11 May – Mindfulness Walk (Adults only)
8 June – Mindfulness Walk (Adults only)
26 October – Mindfulness Walk (Adults only)
Participants can expect a tranquil and reflective experience, allowing them to step away from the stresses of daily life and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Cwm Idwal.
A Journey into Myth and Legend
In addition to the mindfulness walks, a special Myths and Storytelling Walk will be held on 6 July. Led by a local storyteller from Anadlu, this event promises to transport participants to a world of ancient myths and legends, offering a deeper understanding of the folklore that surrounds this stunning location. This walk is open to adults and children over the age of 12.
Important Information for Participants
All guided walks will begin at 9:30 am from the Cwm Idwal visitor centre and will last approximately three hours. While participation is free, booking in advance is required to secure a place. Interested individuals can register at www.cwmidwal.cymru/en/digwyddiadau/.
Participants are advised that the walks are not suitable for dogs, and parking at the site can fill up quickly. To avoid inconvenience, it is recommended to arrive early or make use of the Traws Cymru T10 bus service.
